Collection: Carol Tessier Studio

Carol is a mixed media artist who loves "painting" with colorful fabrics and handmade papers to create texture and depth in her unique renderings of seascapes and other watery venues.  Nautical charts, songbook sheets and pages from vintage novels are often the first of many layers, setting the background for her interpretations of regattas, local beach scenes and faraway exotic islands.  She says gathering the materials is almost half the fun!  Her Annapolis studio is regularly strewn with piles of fabrics that have been selected by her clients for their specials commissioned artworks, alongside colorful primed canvases, dripping wet painted papers and scraps of local nautical chars.

Carol shares a studio with other artisans at our Gallery location at 1818 Margaret Ave, Annapolis, MD.  She shares her Eastport home with her Chocolate Lab named Reba.
